5) Wow… that’s not even a reason to think Twilight is better than Harry Potter. Both stories happen in different settings. And what do you mean they don’t learn how to control their powers?! That they already knew them?! Please, they have to work on those powers. In fact they have to learn to resist the temptation of blood first hand. And a vampire school… I don’t think it would have helped much.

4) A dork?! A DORK?! You mean a dull, slow-witted, or socially inept person?! Harry grew up without somebody to love and care for him for ten years of his life before he found some friends. So of course he’s going to be awkward around people and a little slow. Edward on the other hand is pretty much pathetic: he has lived for a hundred of years and he still doesn’t know how to act around the girl he likes (because going to her room and watching her sleep without her knowing you are there is not romantic, it’s creepy). In fact he doesn’t seem to interact much with other people outside his little family.

3) Like number 5, that’s pretty much invalid. Twilight and Harry Potter don’t have the same setting. Come on, you aren’t expecting eleven-thirteen year olds to fall madly in love with someone to the point they are willing to leave their whole family behind without a second glance. Are you? The fact that Bella can’t wait to leave her parents and the few few friends she has outside the Cullens, shows how superficial she can be.

2) Vampires are cool, I give you that. But these vampires sparkle under the sunlight. They SPARKLE! In Harry Potter you have REAL werewolves, giants, trolls and dragons. Heck, there’s even a three headed dog named Fluffy! You can’t beat that!

1) Lets compare stories shall we? Twilight: girl moves over to the middle of nowhere, falls in love with a vampire for whom she’s ready to forget about her life before him (including her family, whom she doesn’t seem to care about much). To get information about said vampire she charms a younger teen, instead of asking him, who later seems to seriously like her. But she has gone comatose because her beloved vampire left her. Trying to find some connection with him, she decides to risk her life (jumping off a cliff for example). The boyfriend returns and all is well, but the girl starts to grow small feelings for the younger teen, who turns out to be a werewolf. In the mean time some old enemy tries to kill Bella with an army of vampires, but they stop her and kill her. But this incident catches the attention of some powerful clan that ensures vampires are kept secret and want Bella to transform. After much arguments they marry and Edward (dead vampire who doesn’t even have a heartbeat) manages to get her pregnant. They have a child but because of this they are almost killed by the powerful clan but everything goes well by the appereance of some child who was also born from a vampire and human. Oh, and the werewolf that was in love with Bella falls in love with her newborn daughter. Freaky much?

Now, Harry Potter: the Boy who lived survived because his mother sacrificed herself for him. This creates a connection between Harry and Voldemort, making it possible for the boy to enter Voldemorts mind. After living with his horrible family he goes to Hogwarts, where he makes friends and faces evil each year. First there was a teacher who, carrying Voldemort in his body, tries to ressurect him and kill the boy. He fails, and the next year Harry faces a twenty foot something giant snake that can kill you with its eyes.The third year, Harry thinks he’s been targetted by Sirius Black, who turns out to have been framed by Pettigrew, who had also told Voldemort where his parents were hidding. During fourth year Harry participates to the Triwizard tournement, having been placed by another of Voldemorts lackeys. This time he manages to ressurect, and tries to steal the prophecy that joins them both together. Harry falls into a trap and is almost possessed by Voldemort after his godfather died. But he manages to get out of it and during sixth year discovers the past of Tom Riddle, the one who would later become Voldemort. He also learns the existance of the Horcruxes, cursed objects that hold a piece of Voldemort’s soul. But Hogwarts is attacked at night, and Dumbledore dies. Voldemort takes over the magic world and Harry and his friends fight him, trying to find and destroy the Horcruxes before facing once again Voldemort in one last battle at Hogwarts.
