I like decorating pumpkins. I carved a pumpkin last week with my little girl. I made a pumpkin man with a black cape (just like a snowman), then I carved an Orc from World of Warcraft in another big pumpkin. My little girl got a kick out of that one and recognized it right away. Right now, I am going to give you 5 cool pumpkin decorating ideas.
Take a fairly small pumpkin, get some black pipe cleaners (found in the art section of many department stores) and add them to the pumpkin. Shape them like a spider would do his legs.
You can do this by taking white tape. Putting a long line of it across his cheek, then putting 3 small pieces across that long piece – making it look like stitches.
You can do this with the little pumpkins you can buy. Paint them pitch black, put white eyes on them and some bat wings. This is a fun activity to do with children.
Cut a mouth with jagged teeth in the front of a small pumpkin. Take the cutout from the mouth and put it sideways in the back – it will look like a fishtail. Turn it to the side and you have a fish-o-lantern.
Are you a fan of Wow? Blizzard usually has a pumpkin carving contest. I looked at the winners the other day from the past and they are amazing! It made me want to break out with my dremel and start carving and that is exactly what I did.
